New patients are welcome — call or text 214-810-4331.
Background and training
Dr. Kohli completed his Family Medicine residency in Michigan in 2005 and has practiced medicine for over twenty years. He is currently on staff at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, the campus where the office is located, and previously served as Chief of Medicine at White Rock Medical Center and as Chief of Medicine at Baylor Scott & White, Waxahachie. He later completed a fellowship in Functional, Integrative and Regenerative Medicine, which shapes how he evaluates the underlying contributors to a patient's health rather than treating symptoms in isolation.
What Dr. Kohli treats
As a family physician, Dr. Kohli provides first-contact and continuing primary care across the lifespan. Day to day that includes:
- Chronic disease — diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and thyroid conditions
- Preventive care — annual physicals, well-woman exams, screenings and vaccinations
- Hormone evaluation and therapy for men and women, including pellet therapy
- Medical weight loss, including physician-supervised GLP-1 treatment when appropriate
- Functional and integrative medicine for fatigue, gut health and metabolic concerns
- Acute and urgent visits, and telemedicine
A functional and integrative approach, inside primary care
Dr. Kohli's fellowship training lets him look for the medical, behavioral and environmental factors contributing to a symptom, and to combine conventional treatment with functional testing in one place. Because he is also the primary care physician, that work stays coordinated with the rest of a patient's care, and most visits are billable to insurance or Medicare.
Insurance, Medicare and new patients
The practice is insurance-based and welcomes new patients, including new Medicare patients. Dr. Kohli participates in Original Medicare, Medicare Advantage plans from all major carriers, and most major commercial plans. An optional concierge membership is available for patients who want extended time and more direct access, but it is never required. Insurance participation can change — call or text 214-810-4331 to confirm your specific plan.
