Well Woman Exam

Early diagnosis and care can prevent illness and save lives. Our well woman’s examination program works on a similar principle, wherein with regular, periodic screenings we catch diseases early. The program complements our existing health services for women.

Women have unique health care needs, it is important that a well-woman exam and health screening is conducted at a regular interval. Our goal is to encourage women to access health services, support them to identify preventive strategies and improve their health status. We offer preventive service recommendations for women from adolescence into maturity.

Our services include primary assessment of the physical and psychosocial state of patient, counseling, adolescent guidance, pre-pregnancy care, risk factor identification followed by prevention measures and many services.  As a part of our preventive service, breast cancer screening including screening mammogram is also done in well-woman health screening. When caught in its earliest stages, breast cancer is highly treatable. We offer Age appropriate Pap smear for cervical cancer screening.

Depending on a woman’s age, health status, and risk factors the well-woman visits are recommended. It is recommended that every woman must receive at least one well-woman exam per year from adolescence and continuing across the life span for better health status.
